DesignAlot Technical Services ("DesignAlot," "we," "us," or "our") operates designalot.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use this website, submit a project request, submit an Express Design job or file upload, or follow links to third-party services.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
The current public site does not intentionally use advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts.
Express Design uploads are stored outside the public website directory and accessed through protected links.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you contact DesignAlot or submit a project request, we may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, selected service, project details, and other information included in your message.
If you use Express Design, we may also collect the job type, requested turnaround, project instructions, original file names, file sizes, and the artwork or other files you upload. Uploaded files may themselves contain information that you or another person included in the file.
The current public DesignAlot website does not directly collect payment-card information and does not create ordinary customer accounts on the main website.
Browser-Based Tools
DesignAlot browser tools—including the CSV → Excel Formatter, Image Workshop, Favicon & App Icon Generator and PDF Toolkit—are designed to process selected files locally in your web browser. The QR Code Generator and Print Size & DPI Calculator also run locally. When a tool is identified as using local processing, the files you select for that tool are not uploaded to DesignAlot's server. If a future tool requires server-side processing, that will be disclosed before you provide a file.
Technical and Security Information
Like most websites, our web host may automatically receive standard technical request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, and request times as part of normal server operation and security logging.
DesignAlot's project forms also use limited technical information to prevent spam and abusive submissions. An IP address may be processed for rate limiting, but our custom form audit logs store a shortened one-way hashed or fingerprinted identifier rather than the raw IP address. Diagnostic form logs are intentionally limited and may include a request ID, submission status, masked email address, selected service or job type, and limited error or file-count information. They do not intentionally store your name, phone number, or full project-details text.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through the website to:
- Review and respond to project inquiries and Express Design requests.
- Prepare estimates, confirm scope or turnaround, and perform requested services.
- Communicate with you about a request, project, support issue, or completed work.
- Send confirmation messages after a form is submitted.
- Receive, review, process, and deliver project files.
- Protect the website and forms from spam, abuse, fraud, or excessive automated requests.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain appropriate business records.
- Comply with legal obligations or protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use information submitted through the project forms to build advertising profiles.
3. Express Design File Uploads
Files submitted through Express Design are stored in a private server location outside the publicly accessible website directory. The system uses randomized stored file names and protected, tokenized download links for authorized internal access. The public download endpoint will only provide a file when the matching request information and security token are valid.
Express Design request notifications may be sent to authorized DesignAlot personnel who help review or fulfill the job. Those notifications can include the contact information and job details you submitted along with protected links to uploaded files.
Please do not upload passwords, Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, medical records, or other highly sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the work and you have first discussed the need with DesignAlot.
4. Email and Service Providers
Website form submissions are transmitted through DesignAlot's hosting and email infrastructure so that we can receive and respond to them. We may use hosting providers, email services, and other technical service providers that process information on our behalf as necessary to operate the website and provide requested services.
We may also share information with authorized contractors or personnel when reasonably necessary to complete a project. We do not share personal information with unrelated third parties for their own advertising purposes.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking
As of the date of this policy, the current public DesignAlot site does not intentionally set advertising cookies, use behavioral advertising pixels, or load third-party analytics scripts. Normal web-server logs and security systems may still record technical request information as described above.
Third-party websites or services reached through links on DesignAlot may use their own cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies. Their practices are controlled by their own privacy policies, not this one. If DesignAlot later adds analytics or other tracking tools, this policy will be updated to reflect that change.
6. Client Login and Other Third-Party Links
The Client Login link on DesignAlot opens a separate hosting control-panel service. The site may also link to recommended software, resources, or other external websites. Once you leave designalot.com, the privacy and security practices of the destination service apply.
DesignAlot is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
7. Data and File Retention
Retention periods vary depending on the type of record and the needs of a project. Project inquiries, email correspondence, estimates, and related business records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, perform services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal and accounting obligations.
Express Design files may remain in private storage while they are needed for review, production, delivery, follow-up, or legitimate business-record purposes. Deleting the private job folder also revokes the protected file-download links associated with that folder.
Short-term rate-limit information is used to control repeated form submissions, while compact diagnostic audit logs are rotated to keep their size limited. We may retain security records longer when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect the website.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including private server-side storage for Express uploads, restricted file permissions, randomized stored file names, protected download tokens, form validation, spam controls, rate limiting, and limited diagnostic logging.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we work to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact DesignAlot to ask about personal information you previously submitted, or to request correction or deletion where reasonably possible. To help us locate the correct record, we may need enough information to verify the request and identify the project or submission involved.
We may need to retain certain records when required for legal, accounting, security, contractual, or dispute-resolution purposes.
10. Children's Privacy
DesignAlot's services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
11. Legal Disclosure and Business Changes
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; to protect the rights, safety, or property of DesignAlot or others; to investigate misuse of the website; or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If DesignAlot is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, reorganization, or similar business transaction, relevant business records may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, our services, or our information-handling practices change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
